Today I sit down with Jamie Greene, therapist, turned “Unconventional Coach” (more about that in today’s interview.)
He has always been someone I’ve looked up to in the relationship world. Every article I read of his I can’t stop saying “Amen… Amen… AMEN!”
Here are some of the things we chat about today:
+ How he went from being a therapist for 30+ years to an “Off the Couch” Coach
+ Celebrity Relationships: As a coach to A-List celebrities, I ask the #1 problem he see’s disrupting relationships in Hollywood
+ How intimacy changes after having kids and how to adjust
+ Advice to men on how to support their lady after having a baby
+ The 4 “Pillars” a full man. What to look for in order to be in a thriving sustainable relationship
+ The 4 “Layers” a full woman. What to possess in order to have a thriving sustainable relationship.
FUN FACT: At minute (21:31), while Jamie was talking about being madly in love with his wife yet still knowing there are going to be disagreements and times where you are going to push each other’s buttons…
I said, “Airport Drama!”
Here’s what I meant! Earlier that day, I dropped Andrew at the airport and… as per usual…we were late! #hotmess
The problem this time was that I also had to pick up Jamie Greene from the airport at the same time. So we were not only already late to pick Jamie up, but we were also at the WRONG TERMINAL.
This might seem like a boring story to you but here’s my point. In the car… I lost my patience! And for anyone who knows Andrew, you’d know he is always happy, cool, calm and collected which made my irritation grow stronger because then, I was the only one freaking the fuck out about pick ups and drop offs and he didn’t mind piddle paddling around.
So even as Jamie and I talk about healthy sustainable relationships, it’s important to know that it doesn’t mean you won’t push each other’s buttons at times. The difference is how you react and recover.
PS: Now, that I remember, I think I told Andrew I was going to make him sleep in Astro’s kennel.
I’m so excited to share Jamie with you ladies and I hope you take some notes watching. There were several #truthbombs you don’t want to miss that I think could help you in your life and relationships.
