As per your requests I am FINALLY going to tell you how I planned my sister-UN-law’s bachelorette party!
**Side Note: I say “UN” law because Andrew and I choose not to get married so…. we are sister’s without law ***
As you’d know, planning a Bachelorette party is FARRRR from my expertise. In fact, I needed major inspiration because I was completely lost! So thank goodness there are lifestyle blogs I follow that saved the day!
One of which is The Skinny Confidential. You’ve heard me mention her before but seriously, her blog makes life easier and you KNOW we’re about that life… you also know I’m bougie as hell so yeah, her blog definitely hits my soul in major ways.
Anyways, back to point of this article. I got so many messages from you ladies asking me the details of Audrey’s bachelorette as many of you are also planning for the ones you love. So here we go…
PLAN FOR RECOVERY
The truth is, there’s most likely going to be some drinking, like… HEAVY drinking, it’s a bachelorette duh! So assuming that is going to be the case, plan to be a life savor with an essential hangover kit!
I happened to buy these cute little bags and filled them up with the following:
Advil: Prevent the inevitable by giving your ladies easy access to the goods!
Colgate Wisps: Make sure your ladies don’t go out and about with food in their teeth OR the notorious purple mouth from red wine…
Speaking of red wine…
Wine wipes: Ummm… I’m a wine gal’ and so were my bach girls, so you KNOW I had to look out for their best interests. You’re Welcome!
Activated charcoal: Only the best invention to hit the hangover remedy scene truly. My girlfriend Lacey (you know, founder of C.S.M) got me into it years ago and it works when you are about to have a night of drinking.
Emergen-C: Definitely not MY way of getting daily vitamins in but when you already aren’t going to be healthy and everyone is on the go… make sure you get it where you can.
Dream Water: A natural melatonin drinking aid for those long nights!
If YOU were just attending a bachelorette party, what would you want the host to think of? Maybe it was my years in hospitality but I always try to exceed expectations and think about the small to big things people usually forget. That is why it was important to not only have hangover kits and a “recovery” bar, but I also knew that being in Vegas (driest weather ever) and drinking was going to traumatize our skin, so I planned for some essential gifts!
Which brings me to my final key…
GIFT YOUR GALS
I made sure there were gift bags filled with products I knew the ladies would love and because I wanted them to feel pampered and inspired so here’s what their gifts were!
My book DUH!: “How to be H.O.T.: Your Guide to Becoming Happy, Open, and Trusting in your Relationships.” Bachelorette parties are all about celebrating a relationship so why not include a book about that very subject!
Dr. Jart Face Masks: If you follow me on Snapchat (@christalfuentes) you see me using face mask ALLLL day errryday and I knew our skin was going to be a bit dehydrated partying so… I gifted all the girls some face masks to play around with.
Rose Aloe Witch Toner: My favorite toner EVER made by my girlfriend Lacey Jones! Had to make sure these ladies experienced the goodness I feel every day from this toner. Read more about it HERE.
If you are doing a bachelorette right… there might be a lapse in memory, that is why I made sure I left a few Instant Cameras around with tons of film so the ladies could take pictures and the bride-to-be had something to look back at. She even made a scrapbook out of it!! So fun!
There you have it ladies! I hope this helps get your creative juices flowing when you are given the daunting task of having to host a bachelorette party.
I hope you have fun! We sure did!
