Do you have a morning routine? … Besides running late for work every day?
If you don’t have a morning routine that makes you feel good, then I suggest you put one together because the truth is… If you’re not doing something for yourself to start your day, the likelihood of you doing something for yourself later in the day is slim to none. Not to mention, what you do to start your day sets the tone for the rest of your day.
It is easy to get consumed in the “to-dos” of life whether it’s working, caring for others, or taking care of life’s responsibilities. Not taking care of yourself first can deplete your spirit and energy. And if you didn’t know, energy is the fuel of passion.
I remember when my morning routine would leave me feeling rushed, anxious and stressed before starting my day until
I realized what that did to my quality of life. Here’s my old morning routine:
Christal’s Shitty Morning Routine:
Wake up dreading the responsibilities of the day; Often pressing the snooze button.
Wake up to my third snooze alarm and throw out a few choice words because then I needed to rush.
Walk out the door only to return again because my rushing caused me to spill coffee all over myself, and now I need to change…
DAMN LIFE!
Christal’s Empowering Morning Routine:
Wake up not pressing the snooze button.
Drink Lemon water first thing to alkalize my body.
Set my intentions for the day.
Listen to music and move my body.
Just so you know, an empowering morning ritual doesn’t take time away from you. What I have listed in my Empowering Ritual, only takes about 10 minutes! And if you don’t have 10 minutes to give yourself, then you there are more things we need to talk about.
So below, please comment on your current morning routine and how you can either make it more empowering for yourself or how you would like to wake up. I want to know!
xoxo,

Mine is a constant battle between those few extra Zzzz’s and facing the day. Sleep / then rush versus get up / achieve. The latter is ALWAYS better for me, and my daughter, but the lure of more bed is very powerful. With school runs and packed lunches and washing and full time work it’s challenging to fit it all in. But the best mornings are the ones where I get straight up with the radio (don’t scroll though Facebook for 15 minutes!!! ?), whack Hay House radio on, shower, stretch, get dressed, tidy up, put a wash on, make packed lunches, prepare a morning shake and get us both out of the house by 7:30am…..but they are not every day occurrences #mustryharder 🙂
