Christal sits down with Ambra Torelli, the founder of Little Bites of Beauty to discuss her battle with an auto-immune diagnosis – What her near death experience called out in her – Why helping people with auto-immune diseases and dietary restrictions travel the world without feeling restricted is important.
Today, I have the pleasure of sharing one of my dearest friends with you babes. She is someone I’ve known for years and who I’ve actually lived with the years Andrew and I spent in Macau.
Remember the episode I did with Lacey Jones, the founder of Gratified Soul? Well, all of us, Lacey, Ambra and I, lived together in Asia back in the day. It was such a beautiful experience because we were all in the stage of trying to figure out what we wanted to do in life.
Well… I mean we kinda knew, but we were definitely in a discovery phase and transitional times of our lives. Some of my most life-changing conversations happened with these girls. I am truly grateful for the impact these women have had on my life and to see these beauties creating a life by design, continues to inspire me to this day.
Throughout the years, I think it’s safe to say, a lot has happened. Obstacles are inevitable, but it’s the meaning you give these obstacles that either paralyzes you or strengthens you. After being diagnosed with an auto-immune disease, then later (and completely unrelated), surviving a cardiac arrest, Ambra has definitely shown that what happens to you can either cripple you, or you can find the Little Bites of Beauty.
Like what I just did there? …
Ironic that Ambra is the founder of Little Bites of Beauty, a platform with a mission to serve people who have dietary restrictions and auto-immune diseases in order for them to feel like they aren’t missing out on delicious foods. I can honestly say without a doubt, she is a woman who is an active participant not only her mission but the meaning behind Little Bites of Beauty.
She and her husband are world travelers but found it hard to find foods that she could actually eat and it wasn’t an easy journey for her. It took an auto-immune disease diagnosis, several elimination diets and functional medicine doctors in different parts of the world before she was able to find the right life plan for her.
After knowing this woman for years, I can honestly say she walks her message. Beauty is at the forefront of everything she does. Remember when we discussed finding your life values? I could argue that beauty is one of her core values. She definitely honors this value by how she creates, how she interacts with people, how she’s able to find the beauty in every situation, every person, and every experience.
There’s nothing that puts life into perspective more than a near death experience… So I’m THANKFULLY told. Or is it really just the person that gives the meaning? Do you have to go through a near death experience to appreciate the blessings that surround you? Ambra is here to tell you what she has learned through some of her most life-threatening moments, what auto-immune disease is and how to live HEALTHFULLY with a non-restrictive diet.
Being diagnosed with an Auto-immune disease is no easy feat, but I know that Ambra will be able to not only shed some light but give you a plan that will help you not only manage extreme allergies but also give you deeper insight into what auto-immune disease is and the triggers.
She also has a step-by-step plan that has helped her manage this disease.
(I think it goes without saying, but everything that is discussed in today’s session written in this blog post, or any plan that is shared, only comes from personal experiences and practices. It is important you seek guidance from a professional if you are undergoing any health issues.)
Ladies, without further ado, let’s welcome Ambra Torelli! I got a little choked up in today’s episode. If you have any questions, please leave them below!
