Do you have any idea what cuffing season is? Well, today I’m going to tell you why this “modern dating term” makes sense.
Before I do, let’s just leave it to me, a relationship coach, to not have a DAMN clue about the new dating terms you young’s are using these days. I failed a dating terms quiz Chrissy gave me in the first episode of my podcast.
The coach was getting COACHED for sure in that episode. But like, be real with me…
WITHOUT googling these terms, do you know what: Cuffing Season, RAYA, Zombie-ing, Sapiosexual or Breadcrumbing means?
It’s crazy the new terms that are being thrown around are, but I kinda like it. ESPECIALLY “cuffing season.”
Can we please cue the music?: TIS THE SEASON TO BE CUFFING!
Can we talk about this term for a second? It’s one that truly stood out to me because as soon as I found out what it was, my RELATE-tionship mind started finding every way to see how this relates to the natural evolution of humans.
Was there a reason why people were more inclined to get in relationships during fall and winter months? Was there science behind this all? I really wanted to know because my core mission (as most of you know) is to find how things relate and how we can dive into things that may seem insignificant but hold value.
So… I took to the University of Google to see if I can find some connection. And to be truthful, there’s not A LOT of evidence to either prove or disprove the theory I’m about to share, but I thought it’d still be worth sharing since, again, we are in the season, and I do like to dive into anything dealing with our relationships.
