Here at The Ladies Coach, I like to think we get downright REAL about life and relationships… that was until I read “The Betches – I Had a Nice Time and Other Lies.”
Let me first tell you how I find out about this book. If you are on Instagram, you have to follow @betches so you can be on the bandwagon with the other 4 million people that follow them but that’s not the only reason, their page will be sure to give you that laugh you need to get you through those mundane days.
Any way I’ve been following them for a while now and saw that they released their second book. Oh! I forgot to tell you who’s actually behind “The Betches.” There are three fiercely witty women behind this HILARIOUS brand. Jordana Abraham, Samantha Fishbein, and Aleen Kuperman.
What is a Betch?
“A BETCH is a girl who is pretty, empowered and knows what she wants.” They speak the truth of what most women say but may not have the guts to say (or maybe shouldn’t really say out loud). The reason why “I had a nice time and other lies…” is this week’s TLC Reading Corner book is because they go into one of my favorite topics in the world!… intimate relationships.
In fact, their message was pretty spot on when it came to building the foundation of love within and how that translates into an intimate relationship, but they do it in the funniest way possible.
Some of the topics they get into happen to be the most popular topics I get asked on the daily, of which are:
- How to get over your EX
- Is social media bad for relationships?
- Cheating? Is it excusable?
Those were only a few of the things they talk about in this book and although I agree with 90% of everything they said, there was one topic I didn’t quite agree with which I actually talked about in my first FB Live session called, “Is cheating excusable.”
Actually, comment below, YES, NO or MAYBE if you feel cheating is excusable. I love seeing peoples opinions…
OK back to this book… IT’S AMAZING and funny as hell make sure you pick it up ASAP!
