Why Striving for 50-50 in a Relationship is the Lowest Standard

Why Striving for 50-50 in a Relationship is the Lowest Standard

by Christal Fuentes

Every week Andrew and I try to take turns planning date night. One week he’ll plan it, and the other week I will. I think its important to always date each other. I know that life gets busy, especially for the mommies out there, I couldn’t imagine how busy your life must be and how hard it is to actually SPEND quality time with your significant other.

With that said, it is very important to MAKE time for each other. Making time for each other makes your significant other… feel… well… SIGNIFICANT.

You can’t call your partner your “significant” other when they are the one person that gets the least of your attention.

Giving your partner quality time is what caters to a healthy and fulfilling relationship. It allows both people to feel seen and understood.

Did you know that “LIKING” the person you are with might be more important than “LOVING” them? Oh yeah!… I said it! I truly believe its easy to overcomplicate and misconstrue love, but liking the person you are with is what allows you to work as a team (which I talked about in a past snap lesson, “I don’t feel appreciated in my relationship.”)

Here’s the bad thing though. Most couples believe that working as a “team” means both partners should be giving 50/50 in the relationship, and I am here to say, that is complete GARBAGE… In fact, I think that is the LOWEST STANDARD POSSIBLE for a relationship. Watch the video and find out why!
