by Ieva Kalvane

Banana Ice cream bowl
This recipe will seriously surprise you how easy it is to make a healthy version of ice cream and how incredibly delicious it is. When bananas are spotty and a little brown that’s when they are most nutritious and also the sweetest. To make the best version of it, wait until it ripens fully and cut in 2-inch slices and place in freezer for the night when banana ice cream is all you need/want.

The best part of this – you can eat a huge bowl and not feel guilty because it`s healthy and made of bananas! Life is about balance and treats don’t always have to be unhealthy, there are many ways of making your favorite ‘cheat meals’ into healthy and delicious options!

3 cups frozen banana
½ cup raw cocoa powder
¾ cup homemade almond or cashew milk (recipe on website)
Toppings – slivered almonds, strawberries, apricots, cherries, raw cocoa nibs and coconut

1. Place banana, milk, and cocoa in a high-speed blender
2. Mix until creamy and smooth
3. Place the ice cream in a bowl and top with your favorite toppings!
