Christal sits down with the CEO of Complete Skin Makeover and Creator of Gratified Soul. They talk about their time living in Asia – Being a woman in the poker world – How our biggest pitfalls end up being our greatest blessings – How to cope when people don’t support you.
Ladies, today I welcome my very own, skin and beauty guru. The person responsible for my Sephora addiction and the reason why ya’ll ask why my face is so “flawless” (ummm.. thank you for that by the way). This woman is also the Founder of Complete Skin Makeover (C.S.M) and the Creator of Gratified Soul. Most importantly one of my very best friends and someone I hate taking pictures next to, Lacey Jones!
Most of you know this beauty because you follow her on Snapchat, but I don’t think you know our history do you? Well, Lacey and I have been friends for many years. We actually used to live in Macau together. Don’t worry; my family didn’t know where Macau was either…
So here’s a map of where Lacey and I used to wander the streets trying out our best attempts to speak Mandarin. Just kidding, I never really got that far, but Lacey certainly did. She really embraced the Asian culture faster than I did, and you’ll know why based on the theory I mention in today’s podcast.
I wanted to have Lacey on Talk Listen Change because not only is she a wealth of knowledge on anything that is health, wellness or beauty related and not to mention, has a fabulous skincare line that is my personal ride or dies; she also is an inspiration of someone who is resilient.
In time I will have her back to share more of her story because she’s someone I think you all could relate to and learn from. Her life wasn’t always easy, but she’s still found a way to rise above it. Everything she’s been through has set her up for what she is doing now. We talk about this in the episode, but I believe if you are in a place where you are confused on what to do because you feel you have too many interests, the more you dive into them you will notice they are pretty congruent.
Being confused is the best place to be in because it allows your mind to be open to the possibilities.
In today’s episode, you will learn just how badass Lacey is. Did you know she’s a poker player? Yup! One of her interests/passions happens to be a male-dominated sport. Today you are going to learn a little more about the beauty behind Gratified Soul and the pitfalls she experienced that lead her to what she is doing now.
