How to Live Life Like an Instagram Influencer

by Danijela Jokic Vaislay

Have you ever been scrolling down your Instagram feed and thinking to yourself how delightful and amazing it would be to experience all those things captured in the pictures of those trending influencers? Or that travel photographer you obsess over every day?

The truth is, we obsess so much over pictures and social media posts that it may contribute to us lacking fun, adventure, and excitement in our own lives. Our heart and soul may have desires similar to those of an “Instagram kind of life.”

Ask yourself what are the pictures that leave you in an awe every time you are scrolling down your Instagram feed? Those are all things you are probably lacking and want to experience in your own life. Once you get the clarity as to what the experiences and dreams you would want to make your reality, you can decide to create an Instagram kind of life for yourself, instead of watching other people live your dreams.

Here’s how you can live life like an Insta influencer:

1. Dare to dream BIG.

Don’t be scared to dream big- your dreams are yours for a reason. Whatever it is that you desire badly, that’s the reflection of your inner being and those things resonate with you on a very deep level. Your intuition and your inner wisdom are shouting and screaming that those situations would make you happy and that you have what it takes to make it happen.

What are your wildest dreams? What kind of Insta pics leave you in awe? What kind of lifestyle you would you would want to live? What would your dream job be?  Write down all the answers in your journal, pin all those places you want to visit, dresses and bags you want to wear, things you want to achieve on your vision board, write down your goals.

Before you see it in your life, you need to believe it! Declaring your dreams out to yourself and the world is an act of faith which reflects that you do believe that it is possible for you to live your dreams.

2. Take a leap of faith.

Every big thing we achieve or experience in life and every goal fulfilled starts by making one brave decision, by taking that leap of faith, by taking that first step. The bigger our dream is, the bigger leap of faith we need to take, more massive and risk taking action we may need to commit to. It can be scary. We may not know what the hell we are doing and whether it will have a positive outcome. There is no guarantee that we will succeed. Without the first step, our dreams will stay just that– dreams.

One of the best decisions I’ve made so far was signing up for life coaching training. I was earning my income as an established freelance writer in a totally different niche and I did not know whether I would succeed or not once I switched things up.  I wanted to work with international coaching clients via Skype, but how would I get paying clients? I also wanted to write inspiring and life changing articles on the topic of personal growth in English. Only one problem, English was not my native language. I was living in a country where people did not even know (they still roll their eyes when I share what I do as a profession) what a life coach was. It was scary, but I never regretted that decision as I am living my dream today. It was all worth it.

You may not know all the answers and that is OK. There is a good news! You can decide to hire a life coach, someone who can help you out along the way. You do not have to waste years of your life trying to figure out how you can achieve all the things you’ve been dreaming off and what action steps you need to take, how you can make it happen. Having a life coach is like making your dreams become reality on steroids! You can start living your dreams much faster if you get the guidance and the right strategy, plus support and a motivation boost!

3. Do not put life on hold.

Ask yourself, what is the big leap of faith that you can do today, this week, this month to make your dream happen? Perhaps you will not know all the answers but think only of the first step that you are going to take towards your dream. That leap of faith, that first step can be enrolling into an education program for your dream job, hiring a life coach, starting your own business, or something else.

Whatever that is, it is important that you take that leap of faith, that first step.

Once you take that first step, the remaining pieces of the puzzle will start coming together by themselves naturally.
Do not put your life on hold anymore. Don’t just keep on wasting your time on liking other people’s Instagram pictures. Create an Instagram kind of life for yourself!

I love this! I love Instagram scrolling haha but I never look at others like I want that life… ok maybe you tubers and their free makeup I would love. Great motivational article for those wanting more out of life who are buy wishing they had other people’s lives.

    Danijela SAYS:

Dear Kristy, Thank you for sharing your view. There is always a reason why we are craving certain things and experiences, be it make up, or travel and jet-set life, or a fit body… It’s because we feel deep within desire to have more of that in our life, and therefore people on Instagram or YouTube we are following can be a clarity point to us what more we want out of life. The message I wanted to share in the article and a call to action was that instead of just scrolling down and wishing, we should get inspired to create that kind of life where we will be not just watching, but experiencing more of the things we are craving for.
