2020 Year End Wrap Up and a Friendly Game of “Relationship Would You Rather?”

by Christal Fuentes

In today’s episode, Christal and Chrissy play a game of “Would You Rather” – They discuss their rose and thorn for this past year – Things they are letting go of, and what values they’d like to implement in 2021.

Can you believe we are wrapping up the year? Most of us  might be thinking “FINALLY!”

But to me, it’s bitter sweet.

This year welcomed me into motherhood … Well, I’m not sure “welcomed” is the right word to describe it. Not like I was warmly greeted and handed a cocktail upon entry while being asked if there was anything I needed. It was more like someone throwing me keys from 20ft away screaming, “YOU’RE ON YOUR OWN!”

All the mommies out there, I’m sure can relate.

Regardless of transitioning into one of the hardest jobs I’ve ever experienced, waking up to my sweet angel baby Rowan has been the greatest gift I’ve ever received.

This year definitely came with it’s challenges though. I think as a collective it pushed us outside of our comfort zone. Being forced outside of our comfort zone is not always easy but it presents us with the opportunity to:

  1. Adapt and find the grace
  2. Resist and stay suffering

I’m not going to lie, it wasn’t always easy for me to find the grace within this year. In today’s episode, Chrissy and I discuss our Rose and Thorn’s of the year. I definitely feel the highs of this year outweigh the lows but I’m still slightly rocked by my “thorn’s”

With that said, there are some things I want to let go of that I think are standing in the way of me experiencing joy in the fullest capacity. There are also some values I’d like to adopt that I think would help me to reconnect and strengthen intimacy with Andrew. You know I’m gonna always be real with you. This year we were in pure survival mode after baby

Make sure you listen to today’s episode to find out what we are leaving and taking into this next year.

In other news, today, we played a game of “relationship would you rather” and of course we couldn’t answer one question without rationalizing.
