Many of us are blessed to have beautiful people in our lives who inspire, motivate, and move us. Then there are people that may be causing some unneeded stress and anxiety. I call them Energy Suckers and the truth is… they must be dropped immediately if you:
- want to feel good about who you are
- live a fulfilling life
The hard thing is we are so damn loyal to these people and no matter how much energy they take from us, we feel obligated to be there for them. Right?
There’s no reason why you should continue staying loyal to people who aren’t concerned about what their damaging energy is bringing to your life. Of course, we should be empathetic to what could be going on in the lives of those around us but there is no reason to surround yourself with people who refuse to see opportunities in their life. With that said, there are 5 personality traits of people you probably don’t want around you especially if you want to live a quality life.
These are the 5 people you need to boot from your life:
1. The “Woe is me”
That dramatic person in your life that always has a problem? Someone who believes life is always out to get them? Not only do they think life is out to get them if you don’t feed into their “problems” they will also believe YOU are out to get them and even believe you are a harsh and bad friend, which will leave you walking on eggshells with them…
Do yourself a favor, say BYE BYE BYE.
2. The Opportunist
Do you have someone in your life that has and continues to lie, manipulate and downright disrespect you just to fulfill a selfish need? A perfect quote I found on Instagram said this, “There is something wrong with your character if opportunity controls your loyalty.”
3. The Dependent
That person that always needs you right away, asking for advice, your time and help, but never actually reciprocates! And worst… continues to have the same problem…
Ugh!… yeah… good riddance.
4. The “Rain on your parade”
We’ve all heard of “Debbie downers,” and “negative nancies, right? Well, these people love to be the rain in your sunshine because they don’t like to be the only people unhappy.
5. The Ultimate “Dracula of Energy”
This person is a combination of all that we listed… This asshole serves no purpose. And if you realize you have a person like this in your life, I would first take a look at your standards for life and relationships and see where your worth is being compromised.
So what are you going to do now? Now, that you know what types of people you should avoid, I would first think about why you have allowed these types of relationships to begin with. What are some of the things you believed about yourself that made you settle? What types of people have you been most used to?
Could you have been one of these people in the past? What relationships do you think were compromised from these behaviors? What have you learned since then? COMMENT BELOW!
