Many of us are blessed to have those around us that INSPIRE, MOTIVATE, and MOVE us. Then there are people in our lives that could be causing some of our stress and anxiety. I call them Energy Suckers and the truth is… they MUST be dropped IMMEDIATELY if you want to live a passionate life.
The hard thing is we are so damn LOYAL to these people and no matter how much energy they take from us, we feel OBLIGATED to be there for them. Right?
Having these people around is DEADLY!… YUP I sad it DEADLY to the energy that is NEEDED for us to feel passion.
So here are the energy suckers, and if you have anyone close to this, including but not limited to, family, friends, and intimate spouses. NOW would be the time to think about what they could be doing to your life.
These are the 5 people you need to boot from your life:
1. The “Woe is me”
That dramatic person in your life that ALWAYS has a problem? Someone who BELIEVES life is always out to get them? Not only do they think life is out to get them, if you don’t feed into their “problems” they will also believe YOU are out to get them and even believe you are harsh and bad friend, which will leave you walking on egg shells with them…
Do yourself a favor, say BYE BYE BYE.
2. The Opportunist
Do you have someone in your life that has and continues to lie, manipulate and downright disrespect you just to fulfill a selfish need?
A perfect quote I found on Instagram said this, “There is something wrong with your character, if opportunity controls your loyalty.”
3. The Dependent
That person that ALWAYS needs you RIGHT away, asking for advice, your time and help, but never actually reciprocates! And worst… continues to have the SAME problem…
Ugh!… yeah… good riddance.
4. The “Rain on your parade”
We’ve all heard of “Debbie downers,” and “negative nancies right? Well, these people LOVE to be the rain to your sunshine because they don’t like to be the ONLY people unhappy.
5. The Ultimate “Dracula of Energy”
This person is a combination of ALL that we listed… This asshole serves NO purpose. And if you realize you have a person like this in your life, I am more concerned about the relationship you have with YOURSELF.
So what are you going to do now? Before you start divorcing these types of people out of your life… which you should do immediately, I would first think about why you have allowed these types of relationships to begin with. What are some of the things you believed about yourself that made you settle?
Then list all the reasons you are WORTH more than these relationships. If you are having a hard time I will be here to help, so comment below!
You need to understand this in order for you to create a NEW foundation for better relationships AND…. A passionate life.
