Christal gives you eight questions to ask yourself to tell if who you’re dating is the right guy.
Alright babe, today we are going to tackle a question I get asked in some form or another, “Is the guy I’m dating right for me?”
Before we dive into the episode, I just have to say, this podcast has been an absolute DREAM for me. I didn’t know how much fun I’d have, doing this and there are some exciting things to come with this show. But in the meantime, I LOVE getting your topic requests for Talk. Listen. Change.
Every episode is brought to you BY YOU. Seriously, every topic we do is from the questions you ladies have sent us, and WE LOVE IT!
So this week’s topic we thought it’d be appropriate that since we are all about cleaning house, getting real, and letting go of relationships that don’t serve us, there’s still something we haven’t discussed.
Fuckboys vs Prince Charming.
Is he the right guy? In today’s episode I give you eight signs that show that he is:
1: Does He Make an Effort?
This gets overlooked because women naturally are the nurturers of our relationships. But does he put EFFORT into your relationship? Does he make time for you? Does he give thought and energy to planning date day or nights?
2: Does he keep his word?
Words are only words but does he back it up with action. Keeping your word builds trust in the relationship, yet we get so jaded by what someone says and overlook the actions they show.
3: Do you trust him?
Yes, trust can get tricky because like I always say, to trust others, you have to be able to trust yourself first. But here’s the thing, we so often know when something is right for us but disregard the intuition we have. Is this person trustworthy or not?… TELL THE TRUTH!
4: Does he respect you?
Does he show respect to you and others?
5: Is the language of your relationship empowering?
How does he talk to you and how does he talk about you? How do you talk to him, and how do you talk about him when you’re out and about? The language in your relationship goes hand in hand with the respect in your relationship.
“If there’s no respect, there will be no trust.”
6: Do you both want the same things?
We’ve seen so much time talking about values and standards in relationships, but how can this person be the right person if you have entirely different visions for life?
7: What’s the drama level in your relationship
Pull out your drama meter? On a scale of 1-10 (1, being little drama & 10, being drama fo’ yo’ mama) whats the drama level in your relationship? If you’re mostly working on your relationship instead of having a relationship, you’re with the wrong person.
A lot of you are making it work with the wrong person, because you’ve created the illusion that they are the one.
8: Do you feel free in this relationship or do you feel free around other people?
If you feel free around others and not the person you’re dating, you are with the wrong person!
